Pre-Engineering

After completing two trade programs and building a career around practical problem-solving, I knew I was capable of more. During the pandemic, I decided it was time to fully engage with higher education and returned to Pima Community College to pursue an associate degree in pre-engineering.

I have since completed my general education requirements and enjoyed a broad engineering curriculum, including coursework in C and C++ programming. Advancing in mathematics through Calculus III has been my proudest academic accomplishment thus far and a meaningful measure of how far I have come.

I currently attend classes part time while operating Unepic Networks and Tucson Home Repair Pro. Physics I and II and one additional technical credit remain before I graduate. After completing my associate degree in May 2028, I plan to continue taking engineering and mathematics courses at Pima before transferring fully to the University of Arizona.

As AI makes it easier to produce code without fully understanding it, I believe the need is only growing for trained software engineers who can reason about architecture, correctness, reliability, and long-term maintainability. My background in IT, web development, and hosting, combined with a formal engineering education, will make me a uniquely practical and in-demand software engineering professional.

Pima Amateur Radio Club

I was one of two students who founded the club, beginning as vice president and becoming president when the other student founder moved out of state. I help lead the completion of a fully operational amateur radio station—our ham shack—at Pima's Northwest Campus, organize student events and meetings, and work with faculty advisors and fellow students to grow the club.

Tucson Home Repair Pro

I bring the same engineering mindset to homes and technical installations, specializing in camera systems, smart-home technology, and home and business networks. Hands-on trade skills—combined with experience in cabling, A/V systems, digital signage, Wi-Fi, tools, and light demolition—allow me to take complex installations from planning through a clean, professional finish.

Client reviews consistently highlight my reliability, preparation, clear communication, efficiency, and attention to detail. I work with renters, homeowners, property managers, interior designers, and Realtors, combining broad trade skills with the willingness to find practical—and often less expensive—ways to get better results.

Owning small businesses rewards breadth. I move comfortably between infrastructure, customer needs, monitoring, billing, field work, and custom software. My work as a tradesman takes me out from behind the computer and into the Tucson community, where I help homeowners and business owners solve practical technology problems.
